Improving your vision doesn’t only depend on the food you eat and the gadgets that you wear. Some people who have normal vision may experience poor eyesight or impaired vision at some situation. Also consider that poor eyesight doesn’t only affect vision. If an eye condition is cause by an internal disease process, then you need to treat the disease itself first. You need to watch out for these symptoms; watering of eyes, mild headache, blurred vision, heaviness, black spots, redness, nystagmus and itching in the eyes are the typical bad eyesight symptoms. Having this symptoms means that your eyes are not doing well and you need to do something about it immediately. When you are too focus on a light emitting object such as the sunlight, television, computer, mobile phones, and even reading books that get worse when reading in a dim light, can get your eyes so stressed up and that you start to feel these symptoms, another reason is poor eating habits.

There are actually remedies that you can prepare and perform at home: orange juice and vitamin A are well known for their benefits in improving vision. Milk cream, cheese, spinach, lettuce, orange, butter, green peas, turnip tops, soy beans, lettuce, tomatoes and cabbage. Eating a balance of dairy products, whole grain, fruits and vegetables is a very good habit. Avoid excessive exposure to computers and television. If exposure to computer for longer hours is inevitable, make sure you blink your eyes hard every 10 minutes by closing your eyes tightly for 2-3 seconds. Yoga exercises in the form of tratakas are highly beneficial. Tratakas are eye exercises which are beneficial for eyes – by strengthening the eye muscles and increasing focus. Eye exercises are an important part of vision and eye care. If you are wearing glasses, it is important to take them off if not needed. For instance, you do need them for distance, and then take them off for reading. Find out what you do and do not need to wear your glasses for. There could be many activities you where you won’t need to wear your lenses. But, make sure that you use them for the important activities, like driving, or any other activity where it is necessary you wear them. Remove them only when it is safe to do so. Give your eyes a break. Take off your glasses and close your eyes, even palm them numerous times during the day.

Here are several physical exercises for your eyes that you can do on your free time. Eye exercising will keep your eyes healthy and help minimize eyestrain. Try rubbing your hand together until they feel warm Close your eyes and cover them lightly with your cupped palms. Avoid applying pressure to your eyeballs. Your nose should not be covered. Make sure no light rays can enter your eyes though gaps between your fingers or the edges of your palms and nose. You may still see other lingering traces of colors. Imagine deep blackness and focus on it. Take deep breaths slowly and evenly while thinking of some happy incident, or visualize a distant scene. After you see nothing but blackness, remove your palms from your eyes. Repeat the palming for 3 minutes or more. You can lightly press three fingers of each hand against your upper eyelids. Hold them there for 1-2 seconds, then release.

Repeat this exercise 5 times and make sure you sit and relax. Roll your eyes clockwise, then counter-clockwise. Repeat this 5 times also, blinking in between each time. Make up and down eye movements, starting from up to down. Do this 8 times. Then do the side to side eye movement, starting from left to right. Repeat this 8 times. Be sure not to force your eyes further than they want to go in any particular direction, or you risk making your vision worse. you need to know that exercising your eyes doesn’t improve vision, but rather maintain your best eyesight level during the day and prevent significant further vision deterioration.
